e-Plano is a Family Planning Mobile App that links FP information to counseling and service
provision. The app is operated by FriendlyCare Foundation and funded by United States Agency
for International Development (USAID).
The app contains the following:
- Family Planning information in English and Filipino version
- Service booking feature
- Method choosing tool
- Adolescent chatbot
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- App navigation and booking of appointments tutorial
- Events notification for the upcoming FP events and activities
The FP information has a corresponding video and photos for the app users to better
understand and appreciate the method. The app offers quick and easy access to Family
Planning information and sure service.
Since its release in App Stores in 2021, the app garnered more than 2.5 million views, 9,000
successful bookings, 10,000 Registrants, and 6,000 Downloads.
The FP methods delivered both in the FP outreach mission and health facilities via app facilitation is 1,446 for Progestin Subdermal Implant,78 for Bilateral Tubal Ligation, 25 for IUD, 4,348 for Injectables, 2,967 for Pills, and 327 for Condom.
The e-Plano app is used by over 100 health facilities and Health Service Providers in:
- Laguna City
- Manila City
- Antipolo City
- Quezon City
- Davao City.
For partner LGUs and Private Providers who would like to be a part of the e-Plano pool of
providers, the subscription fee is only P55 per day or P1,700 per month.
